A golden figure of light stood at the edge of the sea of my papers covered with watercolors and gold leaf to be used for Amaterasu. He generated a field of light with gold particles. Pink Rose, my American Indian creative spirit guide, stood near him. His entire being and the white wings he often favors were covered with a veneer of gold mist. An enormous beam of light emanated from his heart. This was 4 months before 9/11/2001.

A figure stood next to Amaterasu with 2 fingers raised as in "V" for victory. Then - a single finger over his lips as if to say "shhh" . . . then pointing to Amaterasu he said:  " You have the elements, the parameters of the vehicle we have chosen for you. . .walls of fire. . .walls of spiritual fire. . .breathing color and light. . .history has been made. . .afterwards you will look back and see. . .you are too close now."  11 days later was 9/11/2001.

In preparation for all hanging structures I paint or construct each piece to be hung and lay them on the floor to be viewed as I work on them.  Here Amaterasu's first painted pieces are laid on paper near my work area. As each piece is done it is hung on the waiting armature. As pieces are added earlier ones are often re-worked and their positions changed to accommodate new additions.
